IS ‘FREE’ A WASTE OF MONEY?

Technology has provided us with endless amounts of free information about anything and everything, especially when it comes to the Fitness Industry.

With all this readily available free information at our disposal, as a nation why are we still in an obesity crisis?

I recently asked for volunteers to take part in a FREE 4 week training programme. I was looking for volunteers to test out a training programme I had been working on. The participants knew exactly what was expected before signing up, they knew how many workouts they had to do, what equipment was required, what exercises to do, they have a private Facebook group to support them through the 4 weeks at absolutely no expense to them.

I had over 30 people sign up to this yet after 1 week you will be lucky if there are 10 people who have actually started this programme.

The reason? The workout may suck, or more likely is that people are not financially invested in this so they have nothing to lose by not taking part.

On the flip side I am just finishing an 8 week programme with a client from the states. He paid me almost £300 for an 8 week programme for him to do in his gym back home. I suggested a cheaper rate but he insisted on paying over the price above. Why? He knows that if he pays the money he will make sure he sticks to it and I guarantee you he will get fantastic results from it.

You can scroll through my social media and you’ve pretty much got 100’s of workouts you can take for free but if you don’t actually do them the free information is worthless.

Spending months jumping between free programmes and diets you find online might work for a bit but I can guarantee when you put a bit of money into something it then becomes of value to you, you will take it much more seriously and the results will appear.
