ILR

ILR – The Illusion of Limited Resources……..

This can have a negative impact on many areas of your life, but for the purpose of this blog we will be talking specifically about your health and fitness goals.

The Illusion of Limited Resources is one of the reasons many people don’t think they can lose weight, get fitter or start a healthier lifestyle.

You’ve probably heard it before or maybe even you are guilty of saying some of the following things.

“I don’t have time to train”

“I will start when I can afford a PT”

“I don’t have healthy food in the fridge”

“I’ll start when the kids go to school”

“I’ll start when I have more money”

The reality is that you will never have the perfect situation to start a fitness programme, it’s important to just get the ball rolling despite your perceived lack of resources.

Richard Branson, one of the most successful business men in the world, spent 15 years in debt but he kept investing in his business. If he waited until he had the right amount of money needed, he would never have started.

If you’re waiting to start your new healthy lifestyle until you have more time or money, you’ll never start.

The perfect moment does not exist. Those that make progress with their fitness and fat loss goals all have one thing in common – they start.

They start with all the same perceived lack of resources you have but they work round these barriers to great success.

Their routine may not he optimal, but they focus on progressing and don’t worry about having the perfect routine.

I work with many clients who are extremely busy at work, have kids, and don’t have much spare cash. However, they don’t let the ILR stop them from doing what is important to them and their family.

If you don’t need anything fancy or complicated, you don’t need much time or any money to start making progress to a fitter and healthier you.

Drink water instead of fizzy drinks.

Go for a walk at lunch instead of sitting on social media.

Wake up when your alarm goes off and do some squats and press ups instead of hitting snooze 86 times.

The 3 points above requires no resources and if you done these 3 things and only these 3 things every day for a month the difference would be massive.

Dont let the Illusion of Limited Resources stop you from starting and becoming the best version of you.
