Harder to Kill

It wasn’t serious. At first.

The first thing I ask my clients to do is think about their goals – to identify what they’re hoping to achieve for their hard work. One day, I gave a group the option of becoming ‘harder to kill’.

I was kidding, but the phrase appealed to me – and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.

Becoming HTK is a life-affirming concept. How many diseases are a result of inactivity and poor diet? How many of us succumb to joint pain and disvomfort as we age? How often to we ignore our mental health?

Being HTK is not about becoming a superhero, it’s about becoming your best self – with the mobility, strength and fitness to love life to the fulest and deal with whatever it throws at you.

Run a mile in an emergency

Lift something heavy to help a friend

Play all day with your children

As we get older, we need stability and mobility to prevent falls and recover quicker from illness and injury. That might seem a long way off, but years of inactivity and bad habits will impact more quickly than you realise.

But the good news is that you can take action today – right now.

You don’t have to wait until New Year, next month or Monday.

The HTK concept is for everyone, from those getting active for the first time in years, to regular gym-goers seeking balance and purpose.

Becoming HTK might sound badass, but this is not about becoming a powerlifter or breaking records – this is about prioritising your health, eating well, moving effectively and developing strength in order to combat illness, enjoy life and maximise your well-being.
