The Benefits of Semi-Private Training

After spending an awesome weekend in Slovenia with some of the UK’s top fitness coaches and training in 2 top class gyms in Slovenia it was interesting to hear how much they value Semi-Private Training programmes for their clients.

Semi-Private training basically consists of fully coached sessions but in groups of 2-4 rather than the traditional one on one Personal Training set up.

The coaches at Vigor and ‘The Gym’ in Maribor all believed that their clients got the best results from this training model and from my experiencing in delivering a group over the past 10 weeks I would agree.

I currently run an early morning group, currently with 3 guys in the group.  Their sessions are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5.15am – yes that early.  The guys sign up for this programme and pay in advance for 6 weeks.  This seems to have a positive impact on them adhering to the sessions.

They have committed and invested financially to the programme which has led to an almost 100% attendance to the sessions from everyone involved.  We know, or should know, that consistency in your training is the greatest way to achieve your goal and the guys on this programme are certainly smashing workouts on a consistent basis and they are achieving great success on the programme.

Another benefit of the Semi-Private model is that there is you are in a training environment with other motivated, like minded individuals.  Not only are you accountable to the coach but you are accountable to your ‘team mates’.  Without even realising it, they will encourage, motivate and inspire you to get the most out of your sessions and to keep making progress with your diet.  The banter and team situation can provide a brilliant environment to train in, that is sometimes missing on one to one sessions with you and a coach.

Semi-Private training is also much cheaper than one to one Personal Training, everyone loves a bargain and especially when you are getting just as much value but at a cheaper rate.

I am launching some new Semi-Private groups that will start on Monday the 26th of September and will run in 6 week blocks.  You will receive 3 fully coached sessions per week, full assessment, nutrition guidance and ongoing support for the programme.

The sessions will be at the following times:

Group 1 – Monday @ 5.15am / Wednesday @ 5.15am / Friday @ 5.15am

Group 2 – Monday @ 6.45am / Wednesday @ 6.45am / Friday @ 6.45am

Group 3 – Tuesday @ 5.15pm / Thursday @ 5.15pm / Friday @ 5.15pm
